AI workshops for business owners

You know you need to do something about AI. You just don't know what.

You are not behind because you are lazy or slow. You are behind because nobody has shown you what AI actually looks like inside a business like yours. 54% of UK firms are now using AI in some form, but only 7% have a proper strategy for it. This workshop closes that gap. Two days. Hands-on. Built around your business, not a textbook.

What you'll walk away knowing

This is not a lecture. You will spend two days using AI tools on real problems from your own business. By the end, you will know exactly where AI fits, where it doesn't, and what to do on Monday morning.

Who this is for

This workshop is for the person who runs the business, not the person who manages the IT. If you make the decisions about where your company spends its time and money, this is for you.

You run a company with 2 to 50 people. You have heard plenty about AI but haven't done much about it yet. Maybe you've tried ChatGPT once or twice, or maybe you haven't touched it at all. Either way, you know the gap between where you are and where you should be is growing.

You don't have a tech team. You don't have time to take a course. You need someone to sit down with you, look at your business, and tell you plainly what to do.

No technical knowledge required. If you can use email and a spreadsheet, you can do this workshop.

Two days. Small group. Your business as the case study.

Maximum 12 people per workshop. Held in person in the Bristol, Bath, and Cardiff area. You bring a laptop and your knowledge of your own business. We bring everything else.

Day one

Understand what AI actually is and where it fits

You will start with the fundamentals, but not in the way you might expect. No slides about the history of machine learning. Instead, you will open an AI tool, give it a real task from your business, and see what happens. From there, we work through your operations: sales, admin, customer service, marketing, finance. By the end of day one, you will have a clear map of where AI applies to your business and a shortlist of the highest-value opportunities.

Day two

Build your plan and start using the tools

Day two is about doing. You will set up AI tools, write prompts that work for your specific business, and build simple workflows you can take home and use immediately. We cover how to evaluate paid tools versus free ones, how to keep your data safe, and how to brief your team when you get back. You will leave with a written implementation plan, not a vague set of ideas.

"88% of UK organisations currently rely on on-the-job learning for AI skills rather than structured training. This workshop replaces that guesswork with practical, structured learning you can act on immediately."
UK Government AI Labour Market Survey, 2025

What you leave with

Not a certificate. Not a slide deck. Tangible things you will use the following week.

Your AI implementation plan

A written plan mapping AI tools to specific processes in your business, with a clear order of priority and estimated time savings. Built by you during the workshop, reviewed by us before you leave.

A working AI toolkit

The tools you set up during the workshop, configured and ready to use. Including prompt templates written for your industry and your type of work.

A team briefing document

A plain-English summary you can share with your staff. What's changing, why, and what they need to know. Written so it reduces anxiety rather than creating it.

30 days of follow-up support

Email access to the Sageacre team for 30 days after the workshop. If you get stuck, hit a wall, or need a second opinion on an AI tool, we are there.

Common questions

Do I need any technical background?

No. The workshop is designed for business owners, not developers. If you can send an email and use a web browser, you have all the technical skill you need. We start from the beginning and build from there.

What do I need to bring?

A laptop and your knowledge of how your business runs. We will send a short preparation sheet a week before the workshop with a few things to think about, but there is no homework or pre-reading required.

Is this relevant to my industry?

The workshop is built around your business, whatever that is. We have worked with accountants, tradespeople, recruitment firms, property managers, and retail businesses. The principles apply across industries because we focus on your processes, not a generic curriculum.

Where are the workshops held?

In the Bristol, Bath, and Cardiff area. The exact venue depends on the cohort. Once you book, we will confirm the location and send full details including parking and nearby accommodation if needed.

What if I already use AI a bit?

Good. You will get more out of it. Most attendees have tried ChatGPT or similar tools but haven't gone further. The workshop takes you from casual use to a structured plan. If you are already advanced, this probably isn't for you, and we will tell you that honestly.
